Our first ever TV Commercial & Australia Day Weekend!

Hello and welcome to this week’s North Harbour Blog. This week is another big one for many of us with kids going back to school and parents alternately sighing or cheering…or a bit of both.

We also get to celebrate Australia Day and, as we don’t do things by halves at North Harbour, we’ll be making it a weekend-long celebration with three events packed into an Australia Day Weekend extravaganza!

Saturday 28^th
Nova FM Broadcasting live from North Harbour
Time: 10:30am
Place: Bedarra Crescent, North Harbour Display Village (near the North Harbour Sales Office)

Meet the Nova FM Casanovas! They’re the experts at creating fun and nothing makes them happier than giving away cool prizes. They’ll also be broadcasting live from our Display Village.

Sunday 29^th
FREE Sausage Sizzle & Touch Footy Demonstration
Time: 11am – 2pm
Place: Bedarra Crescent, North Harbour Display Village (near the North Harbour Sales Office)

We’re very pleased to welcome back our local community partner Leukaemia Support Caboolture to host our free sausage sizzle. Come along and enjoy an Aussie classic for Australia Day weekend.

Sunday 29^th
2pm Touch Footy Demonstration
Time: 2pm
Place: The Village Park

Then at 2pm we’ll be welcoming the Caboolture Touch Association to show off their footy skills with a demonstration in the Village Park. North Harbour is a proud sponsor of the Club and we’re looking forward to our first North Harbour community event together.

This past week has been a very busy one for us with the release of Stage 13A and on Tuesday and Wednesday our marketing team shot our first ever TV commercial!

Bernard, who managed the shoot, reports:

“Tuesday was a very early day with the crew assembling at 5 am to shoot the sunrise and kayaking along the river. Three cameras were used to capture this shot; a fixed camera on the Ulhmann Road boat ramp, a drone to follow the kayaker and a smaller camera attached to the kayak for close ups of the paddle breaking the water.

After that we had a drone to take river shots and in the afternoon we filmed the 1000 acres of open space and parkland. It was great to see the river and all its meandering. The next day saw us back on the river with Sam who is playing the father and Archie who is playing the son enjoying a fish in a beautiful spot on an outstanding day.

After that we went back to North Harbour where we shot the talent (the actors playing the roles of our North Harbour family) in the Village Park. Archie and Andie (son and daughter) playing on the playground equipment and Sam and Rosie (mum for the day) catching up on social media on their phones.

We then moved on to the home and showed the kids and mum having some fun in the pool and a barbecue with friends. The day ends with a quiet cuppa.

We finished at 6:30pm very happy but quite exhausted from the two day shoot for 30 seconds of TV commercial!”

The North Harbour TV commercial will be shown on Channel 7 and Channel 9 in mid-February – we’ll also put it up on our website and Facebook page so you can see the development in all its glory!

As you know we also released The Keppel Release, our first for 2017, last Saturday and I’m happy to report that we’ve sold 50% in just one week! If you’re keen on a lot in Stage 13A head into the office to stake your claim ASAP.
