“Currently we are seeing strong movement in properties in the north Brisbane/ Moreton Bay region. With reduced interest rates, increased loan amounts for interest only loans and lower serviceability rates, investors can now generate a positive return from residential property from long-term investment in property in suburbs in the north Brisbane / Moreton Bay region (including Burpengary and Burpengary East).

“Investors obviously want return on their investment. And to generate return, they look for growth, infrastructure, schools, all of which are on offer in the Moreton Bay region, particularly in and around North Harbour’s suburb of Burpengary East and the adjoining suburb of Burpengary.

“Real Estate in Burpengary East has shown strong growth in the past few years which we can attribute to this suburb’s close access to the highway, excellent amenities and a strong community. This growth is set to continue as the community itself grows.

“Investment in infrastructure has shown solid growth with the Burpengary Plaza (located about 8 minutes’ drive from North Harbour) having received a major $38 million upgrade and extension which added 9697sqm of floor space, including 30 new speciality stores and a 6700sqm Kmart, as well as 350 new car spaces. The existing 3645sqm Woolworths supermarket was also fully refurbished by the supermarket chain to incorporate their latest store design and features.

“The local sports grounds have also had a $13M upgrade including a brand new swimming pool complex.

“According to Moreton Bay Regional Council, the wider region is expected to be home to more than 620,000 residents by 2036 and the Burpengary East and Burpengary areas will be a major hub for future growth.”

What’s on at North Harbour

North Harbour Café (located in the Sales Centre building, next to a very popular kids’ playground) is open every day (Mon-Fri 10am-5pm with Burger Nights on Thursdays, and weekends 7am-5pm).

North Harbour Mountain Bike Trail: North Harbour’s new mountain bike trail is a great addition to our 1000 acres of open space and parkland and has been designed to suit beginners and families as well as intermediate level riders. Set along 6km of North Harbour’s beautiful scenic river frontage in the Heritage Park area, the track is open 6am-sunset every day. The mountain bike trail parking/ set off point has picnic shelters, water and BBQs and is also located not far from the start of North Harbour parkrun which has toilet facilities and water. North Harbour Mountain Bike Track offers a trail loop almost 6km in length, suitable for beginner off-road riders / families. It has a gentle gradient and generally smooth surface with some obstacles such as roots, logs and rocks. This track is suitable for beginner mountain bikers with basic mountain-bike skills and off-road bikes.

North Harbour Heritage Park: As well as the mountain bike trail, the Heritage Park precinct includes a huge swathe of riverside parkland offering pathways and tracks showcasing the carefully preserved remnants of the early European settlement at North Harbour. Also onsite is the Compass Centre which showcases historic photographs and stories interpreting the life and times of the various people who owned and worked on this land. Heritage Park offers picnic and BBQ facilities as well as amenities and water. Open 6am-sunset every day.

Bite Markets at North Harbour is an alfresco weekend dining experience at North Harbour. Bite offers delicious cuisine from over 40 flavour makers with everything from teppanyaki to tacos, oysters to donuts and so much more, live entertainment and kids playspace.
