Dust off your mountain bike and Uncover the Hidden Gems of North Harbour Heritage Park.

Mountain biking is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the many health benefits of regular fitness and cardiovascular exercise.

What better way to experience the great outdoors than to eat some dust and get intimate with bushes on the trail? Seriously though, mountain biking, more than any other activity, allows you to quickly get off the beaten path and enjoy the solitude and majesty of nature.

For those less adventurous there are tracks that take you through the park at a nice leisurely pace and you can end up in various wonderful locations throughout the precinct.

North Harbour’s extensive parklands and open space at Burpengary East have taken top honours in the Parks and Recreation category at the prestigious 2021 UDIA Queensland Awards for Excellence.

The 1000 acres will take in the banks and meandering reaches of the river, adding to the beauty and opportunity. It also enhances North Harbour’s connection to beautiful Moreton Bay, its islands and healthy waterways, including the Pumicestone Passage, and offer easy access to a myriad of water-based activities, including fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and more.

This park, which is built on land that has been in private ownership since the 1860s and is a Queensland Heritage Registered site, provides an insight into the early settlement of the area and the pioneering agricultural industries which emerged here.

The parkland includes pathways and tracks detailing the remnants of the past and the Compass Centre which tells the history of the North Harbour, “Moray Fields”, site through historic photographs, sketches and display objects which allow visitors to appreciate the stories and significant developments from the past up to the present day.

After learning about the history of the site, you can then walk through the heritage trails and view the remaining artefacts of the residents of yesteryear such as the Old Well, and the steps of the Old Homestead.

North Harbour Heritage Park features several spacious picnic shelters with BBQs, tables and benches. These are perfect spots to relax after walking the Heritage Trail and visiting the Compass Centre or to catch up with friends for a relaxed picnic/ BBQ by the river.

Strap the bikes on the back of the car and take the trip to North Harbour Heritage Park to fill a fun weekend.

The GJ Gardner brand is something very close to the hearts of Chris McNeil and Phil Vanderneut who have taken over the Brisbane Outer North Franchise.

They have a combined 23 plus years of experience working for GJ Gardner Homes in a number of locations in South-East QLD.

Chris said they are beyond proud to now be the new Franchisees of GJ Gardner Homes Brisbane Outer North, realising a long-standing dream.

Chris McNeil is a Platinum Sales Club Member, selling over $65,000,000 in homes, and is an international multiple Sales Award winner for GJ Gardner Homes.

Chris believes that building a new home should be an enjoyable and engaging process between sales consultant and client.

“I pride myself on building long-term relationships with my clients through regular communication, honesty and transparency.”

From humble beginnings, Phill Vanderneut started his carpentry apprenticeship in 2018 and upon completion started his own business, subcontracting to many larger builders in the area.

Phil said this journey lit a fire and started the dream to one day own a building franchise in South-East Queensland.

In 2017 an opportunity arose to join GJ Gardner Homes Noosa as a construction supervisor, which Phill jumped at to develop his skills in managing the entire construction process from start to finish. Phill was awarded the QLD/NT supervisor of the year based on client reviews for the 2017/2018 years.

Chris also joined the GJ Gardner Noosa team in 2017, which is where he and Phill met and have developed a strong friendship over the 6 years, working together closely to build people’s dream homes. Through the seven years Phill worked at GJ Gardner Noosa his role developed to Construction Manager and then General Manager.

At this branch he supervised the building of over 100 homes and was involved in all facets of the business, positioning him perfectly to move into the role of Franchisee at Brisbane Outer North.

“Brisbane Outer North is arguably one of the fastest growing and most exciting areas in Australia and we are beyond excited about the diversity in land available,” Chris said.

“From new developments to small acreages and a growing desire for knockdown rebuild opportunities in the Bayside area with people really loving where they live.”

Our focus at GJ Gardner Brisbane Outer North is to engage with you throughout your building journey, providing solutions tailored specifically for you, quality workmanship, regular communications, and ultimately making the whole experience of home building enjoyable for all.
