Why Your Next Home Should be in Burpengary East from Local Business to Local Events & More!

Local Business

Coffee beans

One of the things that makes North Harbour’s suburb of Burpengary East such a liveable and desirable suburb is the huge amount of local business on offer.

We’ve got everything on our doorstep: a medical centre, shops, cafes and takeaways at the Hub (2 minutes away), a brand-new shopping centre at Burpengary (including Kmart and Woolies) plus Aldi and Coles and a variety of great places to shop, eat (Burrito Bar and Slo Poke American Barbeque mmm) and pamper yourself five minutes away in Station Road, Burpengary’s main street, a wide selection of global stores such as Costco and IKEA 10-15 minutes away, a new university campus arriving in 2020 at Petrie (20-25 minutes away) and regular road and transport upgrades. Phew!

In the next few weeks we’ll be posting our 2018 reviews of awesome local businesses in and around Burpengary East – it’s a tough job trying out all these places to eat, shop and spa but someone’s got to do it!

Local Events

Local Events

The Burpengary area also hosts a heap of regular local events. From sports to markets, horticulture and heritage there is something for everyone.

Australians are world renowned for our sport and Burpengary East residents are no exception. With a swimming complex, AFL precinct, junior touch rugby, netball and cricket on offer to name but a few – our suburb is certainly not lacking in the “things to do” department. (Sign on details for local sporting clubs are further down the page). There are also heaps of clubs around such as Scouts and Pony Club plus plenty of places to ride bikes and lots more.

Burpengary Markets are held every Saturday on Station Road, 7am-1pm. Get on down and grab your fresh fruit and veg, bric a brac, plants, clothing, fabric and more! Find them on Facebook for details https://www.facebook.com/burpengarymarket/

Local Events

Caboolture Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) is, despite the name, located in Burpengary and offers a great day out for the whole family plus the opportunity to develop a green thumb for any budding horticulturalists.

See more by visiting this page.

Burpengary East, and specifically the North Harbour site, has a long and interesting heritage having gone through several incarnations over the years since it was first named Moray Fields in 1861 – a Cotton Farm, Sugar Plantation, Dairy Farm and Pine Plantation before the North Harbour concept was born in 2005. Moray Fields was the site of the first European settlement in the area. You can learn more about the area’s heritage here www.northharbourheritage.org

Building at North Harbour

North Harbour gives First Home Buyers an amazing opportunity to move into a brand-new home in an excellent location for a great price rather than focussing on older houses for sale which may need additional work after purchase.

Why build? Building your first home means you can get exactly what you need from the start of your home owning journey. No need to spend on renovations or competing against other buyers – just choose your house and land package and get ready to move into the northside’s best new development. There are lots of designs to choose from, as you’ll see from our Display Village of 35 homes, with a lot of exciting styles and layouts on offer.

We appreciate that building your first home can be a daunting undertaking and do our best to make the process as smooth as possible for you. Sales Manager Aidan Winter has helped a lot of First Home Buyers and says:

A question I get asked a lot is, ‘Where do I start?’. Many buyers that I speak to are unsure of whether they should decide on a house first and then buy a block to suit or if they should do it the other way around.

My advice is to come and look around the North Harbour Display Village. The North Harbour Display Village is a great place to start your home buying journey due to the variety of homes on display.

Our Village has homes which range in size from below 200 square metres to a home that is over 600 square metres. A trip through the North Harbour Display Village will give you a quick idea of the size of house that is going to suit your lifestyle and family needs.

Once we have an idea of the house size that’s going to suit, we can then advise you of the lot size that’s going to work best. A house siting is then organised to let you know how much room you’ll have around your new home. We can then give you an idea on how much your new home is going to cost.

The next step is to secure your block and then take your time to decide on the exact home design you’d like, select your perfect home builder and any specific changes or features that you’d like in your new home. Drop into the North Harbour Display Village to start your new home journey. We’re open every day from 10am till 5pm.

We have 35 Display Homes in our Display Village from 14 local and national builders: Metricon, McLachlan, McDonald Jones, Stylemaster, Hallmark, Integra, Homes by CMA, Bold, Simonds, Coral, Pantha, Valeco, Sunvista and GJ Gardner.”
