Christmas events are ramping up at North Harbour!

As we’ve arrived in December and are looking forward to the holidays we’ve wrapped up a heap of Christmas ideas for keeping the family entertained in the Moreton Bay Region over the silly season.

First off the entertainment rank is…us! This Saturday (December 10^th) we’ll be hosting our inaugural Movies in the Village Park event showing the classic “A Muppet Christmas Carol”.

We’ll be kicking off at 6:30 pm with some Christmas presents for the kids and free popcorn before the movie starts at 7 pm. BYO blankets, chairs, any other picnic food and beverages you require and most importantly your Christmas spirit.

• Time: Saturday, December 10^th from 6:30 pm, movie starts at 7:00 pm (please note we’ve changed to an earlier start than stated in the previous blog)
• Place: North Harbour Village Park
• Cost: FREE movie and popcorn and Christmas presents for the kids. Please BYO drinks, picnic, blankets/chairs

All event information will be added to Facebook and we do also send reminder emails and SMS so if you’d like to receive these updates please register your interest on our website. We’ll also let you know via Facebook if we get rained (or stormed) out.

With Southeast Queensland sweltering through a heatwave we’ve made an effort to find some activities with a water theme to keep us cool. Fortunately for us, just five minutes from North Harbour is the Caboolture Regional Aquatic & Leisure Centre. The Centre is hard to beat on a hot day as its lush bush setting is home to three pools – one indoor 10-lane Olympic swimming pool, an outdoor 25-metre pool and an outdoor leisure pool with beach entrance and water features – perfect for families.

The complex also includes a gym, two tennis courts, a café and a crèche. So, if you’re planning on heading our way to check out what House and Land Packages Burpengary has to offer, why not come early, pack your swimmers and head to the pool afterwards for a swim?

If you’re chasing a bit of culture, no need to head to South Bank, our partners at the Abbey Museum have you covered. The Abbey Museum is one of Queensland’s top attractions and is handily located about 20 minutes from North Harbour.

Visitors to the museum can journey through the centuries from the world of prehistoric hunters and the first farmers to the bronze smiths and the rise of the Roman Empire. There are many amazing artefacts on display from the Medieval Saxon and Norman invaders to the golden age of Europe’s Renaissance through to the Industrial Revolution and the British Empire.

The Abbey also invites you to, “Cross a threshold into ancient and classical worlds. Who can resist a death mask from ancient Egypt or a rare armoured shoe from Olympia, Greece or a Tang sculpture of a lute player from China?” For more information visit abbeymuseum.com.au.

After all that chasing around you might need a feed and a sit down. If that’s you, our partners Caboolture Sports Club have you covered. (How awesome are our partners?!). Big screen TV for all the sport, loads of meal and drink options, plenty of aircon and a KIDS CLUB. That’s right, pop your little darlings in for some supervised fun while you have a sit down with the paper. GOLD.

The Club is having a children’s party for members this Sunday so if you’re not a member already make sure you sign up and join in the fun.
