First Home Owners Grant

The First Home Owners Grant, often called the First Home Buyer’s Grant, is a $15,000 one-off financial grant from the Queensland State Government available to those buying their first home in Australia who meet eligibility criteria.

Eligible recipients must be:

– at least 18 years old and an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
– purchasing a brand-new property under $750,000
– receiving the grant for the first time

First home buyers may also be eligible for the HomeBuilder’s Grant which provides a further $25K towards building your first home, meaning eligible first home buyers could receive a total of $40K of financial assistance from the Federal and State Governments.
