Easter eggs

Welcome to this week’s North Harbour Blog. Like many of our North Harbour parents we’re looking forward to some time with the kids over the Easter break and with that in mind, we’ve gathered together a calendar of some of the biggest and best activities on in our beautiful Moreton Bay Region.

Moreton Bay’s Easter plans

We’re kicking off on the first day of the school holidays with our very own Movie in the Park event and there are heaps of activities to choose from to follow: from fun at the Abbey Museum to sailing on Moreton Bay.

Saturday April 1st

North Harbour: Movie in the Park – Hunt for the Wilderpeople

https://www.facebook.com/events/266020000505072/

We’ll be showing “Hunt for the Wilderpeople”, a PG-rated adventure/ comedy-drama film. Sam Neill and Julian Dennison play “Uncle” Hector and Ricky Baker, a father figure and son who become the targets of a manhunt after fleeing into the New Zealand bush.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople has had excellent reviews:

Since its successful premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in America, Hunt for the Wilderpeople has become the all-time New Zealand box-office champion, and it’s easy to see why.” David Stratton, The Australian.

Empire magazine named it the best film of 2016, “It’s a small, charming, utterly delightful film…and deserves to take the world by storm!”

We’ll be showing the movie in our Village Park at North Harbour on the corner of Moreton Bay Boulevard and Stradbroke Street.

  • Time: From 6:30pm, movie starts at 7:00pm
  • Cost: FREE movie, FREE popcorn and FREE water!
  • There will be additional soft drinks available to purchase from Leukaemia Support Queensland
  • BYO blankets, chairs and picnic

Hunt for the Wilderpeople” is rated PG (parental guidance recommended). This is a boy’s adventure story with many of the familiar genre trappings, including guns, knives and dangerous animals. Running time: 1 hour 41 minutes
