North Harbour is backing a Moreton Bay Regional Council initiative to help build a $40 billion economy and generate 100,000 new jobs within the next 20 years.
The Council’s Regional Economic Development Strategy is a blueprint to transform the economy and North Harbour is proud to shout it from the rooftops.
Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery has called on the community to join #teammoretonbay, with a host of prominent businesses already showing their support in a promotional video.
As a project with a key role to play in the future prosperity of Moreton Bay for many generations to come, we’re adding our name to the list.
According to the Mayor, there has never been a better time to create jobs and strengthen the economy – and we agree. More importantly, we have a plan to match.
The North Harbour Marina Precinct set to become Queensland’s next Priority Development Area (PDA), creating a staggering 7,735 new jobs and adding more than $750 million a year to the region’s economy.
The Moreton Bay Regional Council area is one of the largest and fastest growing local government areas in Australia, with a population of approximately 470,000 that’s projected to grow more than 50 per cent to 690,000 people by 2041.
We look forward to helping Council deliver its vision for a bigger, brighter and bolder future for Moreton Bay.
